Besides making stuffed animals, I have been making more jewelry.....

for this one I used glass beads and sterling silver clasps, oh and stainless steel (nylon coated) cable which I LOVE. It drapes nicely with the beads.

Old Blazer becomes Mr. Dog

Introducing Mr. Dog.
I have made him from wool for my little boy. I found the pattern in an old toy book that I have.
I loved making him so much that I am thinking of making some for my Etsy store. A Mrs. Dog would be so cute with a little Christmas apron.

Is it just me or does the crafting list start multiplying like rabbits the closer to Christmas it gets. As it is already I am going to have to pull several alnighters just to get done what i want right now. I'm going to have to write my list in permanent ink and throw away the pens so I can't add anything else.

Brass Necklace

I love the look of the new trend of brass necklaces. Reminds me of something the Dashwood girls of Sense and Sensibility or Molly from Wives and Daughters would wear. Now I just need a nice regency dress to wear with it.
This necklace, and hopefully more like it soon, are available on my etsy shop. I wanted something affordable, yet still made out of solid quality metal, not that cheap unknown stuff, so I used all brass parts, from the chain, to the jumprings on the charms even. Some of the charms are shiny new brass, and some of them have a beautiful patina. I love the mix. I added the owl for wisdom, the postcard for love, the sparrow and acorn for abundance, and the tea bag for tranquility. There is also one more mystery charm I added.
